TOP 10 MCSC Hospital Leadership Innovation 2026 selected: these are the innovations that could transform Polish hospitals

Surgical robotics, artificial intelligence in medicine, medical imaging, digital hospital tools, and innovations supporting patient care – these are the TOP 10 MCSC Hospital Leadership Innovation 2026 solutions. The Jury has selected technologies with the potential to streamline hospital operations, improve patient safety, and address some of the most pressing challenges facing modern healthcare.

Another important milestone in the 5th edition of MCSC Hospital Leadership Innovation is now behind us. The Jury has completed its evaluation of the projects shortlisted for the TOP 20 and selected the ten most promising technologies that will compete for victory in this year’s program.

These solutions have been developed to address real hospital needs, ranging from supporting physicians during surgical procedures, through advanced diagnostics and clinical decision-support systems, to digital tools that improve operational efficiency and patient care.

The finalists tackle some of the healthcare sector’s greatest challenges, including shortages of medical personnel, growing patient volumes, the need for faster and more accurate diagnostics, improvements in treatment safety, and increased operational efficiency of healthcare facilities. What unites all shortlisted projects is their practical approach to innovation: each solution is designed to support healthcare professionals and improve the day-to-day functioning of hospitals.

Notably, all of the solutions selected for the TOP 10 were developed by Polish teams and companies. The last time this occurred was in 2022, during the inaugural edition of the competition. This is a clear indication that Poland’s medical innovation ecosystem is maturing, with locally developed technologies increasingly capable of addressing the needs of modern healthcare and demonstrating strong potential for both domestic and international implementation.

The platform is applicable across multiple specialties, including surgery, procedural dentistry, neurosurgery, and interventional radiology. It is being developed as a family of solutions encompassing a mechanical camera assistant (AVROS-P), active robotic arms, and future AI-powered systems designed to assist surgeons.

CardioFlow AI (CT-FFR) – Non-Invasive Coronary Artery Disease Diagnostics

Developer : Graylight Imaging

graylight-imaging.com

CardioFlow AI is a diagnostic support system for coronary artery disease that combines standard coronary CT angiography (CCTA), artificial intelligence, and blood-flow simulation to non-invasively assess the functional significance of coronary artery stenoses.

Its algorithms automatically reconstruct a three-dimensional model of coronary vessels, analyze blood flow, and calculate fractional flow reserve (FFR), providing physicians with insights that extend beyond traditional anatomical assessments.

The solution can support treatment qualification, reduce the need for certain invasive procedures, and shorten image analysis time. Physicians remain fully in control of the process, with the ability to verify results and adjust analyses before making clinical decisions. The system integrates with hospital infrastructure and medical imaging platforms, facilitating implementation in routine clinical practice.

CuraVox – Intelligent Post-Discharge Patient Follow-Up

Developer: datarabbit

www.datarabbit.ai/pl

CuraVox is an AI-powered system that automates communication with patients after hospital discharge or medical procedures. Its voice agent conducts structured telephone interviews, gathers information about recovery progress, helps patients understand post-treatment instructions, and identifies potential warning signs of health deterioration.

When intervention is needed, the system automatically alerts medical personnel.

Data collected from every conversation is stored in an analytics dashboard that enables monitoring of follow-up processes, identification of frequently reported issues, and rapid recognition of patients who require additional contact. The solution allows healthcare providers to support significantly larger patient populations without increasing staff workload and can be integrated with existing hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic medical records.

ECG Tutor – A Modern Platform for Learning ECG Interpretation

Developer: Fornixa Imaging Sp. z o.o.

fornixaimaging.com | ecgtutor.com

ECG Tutor is an educational platform that supports ECG interpretation training through artificial intelligence.

The platform combines thousands of real clinical cases with personalized learning mechanisms that adapt exercises to user progress and reinforce knowledge in areas requiring improvement.

Through gamification features such as learning streaks, rankings, and certificates, ECG Tutor increases user engagement. It also offers a dedicated module for universities and healthcare institutions to conduct training programs, examinations, and participant performance analyses.

The platform supports the development of competencies among physicians, medical students, and nursing staff, responding to the growing demand for modern, practice-oriented clinical education.

Feyenally – Vision Testing Using a Smartphone

Developer: FEYENALLY Labs Sp. z o.o.

feyenally.com

Feyenally is a mobile solution that uses artificial intelligence to objectively assess refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

The application analyzes photographs of the eyes taken with a smartphone and determines key parameters required for vision assessment, eliminating the need for specialized equipment.

The examination takes approximately two minutes and guides users through the entire process step by step using neural network-based algorithms. The solution has the potential to expand access to vision screening, facilitate early detection of vision problems, and support the development of modern teleophthalmology services. Its accessibility stems from leveraging a device that most patients already possess: a smartphone.

Mentalio – Clinical Decision Support in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Developer: Mentalio Sp. z o.o.

www.mentalio.eu

Mentalio supports child and adolescent psychiatrists by organizing the diagnostic process before the patient consultation begins.

Before an appointment, patients or their guardians complete a detailed questionnaire. The system analyzes the collected information and generates a structured report including clinical risk assessments, ICD-aligned diagnostic suggestions, and areas requiring further clinical exploration.

The solution assists physicians without replacing their clinical judgment.

A key feature is algorithm transparency. Physicians can review which data points influenced recommendations, increasing clarity and safety throughout the assessment process. Mentalio operates via a web browser and does not require hospital infrastructure expansion or local software installation, making implementation straightforward within existing IT environments.
