MCSC Competition

MCSC Hospital Leadership Innovation is an international competition organized by the Institute of Mother and Child. Its aim is to identify innovative solutions that support quality of care, staff performance, and hospital efficiency.

Our History

The Mother and Child Startup Challenge competition, initiated in 2022 by the Institute of Mother and Child, was created to support innovation in healthcare. During its first three editions, it focused on solutions for women and children, engaging the country’s leading pediatric hospitals.

Rebranding

In 2025, the competition gained a new name – MCSC Hospital Leadership Innovation – and a significantly broader formula. It now covers all key areas of hospital operations: clinical, organizational, administrative, and operational matters. The new edition aims to support innovations that genuinely improve the quality of healthcare services and the efficiency of medical facility management.

Global Award

In 2025, at the 48th World Hospital Congress in Geneva, the initiative was recognized by the International Hospital Federation (IHF) for its unique model of integrating the medical sector, science, and technology, and for its real impact on innovation development and improved hospital operational efficiency.

Main Prize

The main prize in the MCSC Hospital Leadership Innovation competition is the opportunity to pilot the winning solution at the Institute of Mother and Child and at the hospitals co-organizing the competition. Finalists may also receive additional support and awards from event partners.
