On November 27th at 6:00 PM, the final gala of the 3rd edition of the Mother and Child Startup Challenge (MCSC) will begin at the Capitol Theatre in Warsaw.
The goal of the competition, organized by the Institute of Mother and Child with the support of 6 co-organizing hospitals:
- Bonifraterskie Centrum Medyczne,
- Polish Mother’s Memorial Hospital Research Institute,
- Pomeranian Hospitals Ltd.,
- Ludwik Zamenhof University Children’s Clinical Hospital in Białystok,
- University Clinical Centre,
- Voivodeship Specialist Children’s Hospital in Olsztyn
is to support the development of innovative projects that can contribute to improving the quality of healthcare.
This year’s edition attracted dozens of innovators not only from Poland but also from Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and the USA. 10 startups qualified for the grand final – 8 Polish and 2 Italian.
During the gala, we will find out which startup became the winner and won the main prize: the opportunity for pilot implementation in the hospitals organizing the competition.
“Mother and Child Startup Challenge is primarily about the readiness of public facilities to cooperate with startups. As a pediatric and obstetric hospital, we have a base of experts, data, and infrastructure necessary for the competition, which is innovative on a Polish scale and one of the few in Europe” – said the director of the Institute of Mother and Child, Tomasz Maciejewski, MD, PhD, thus emphasizing the significance of MCSC for the development of the medical sector.
The desire to strengthen the potential of technologies and medical devices aimed at health protection is also appreciated by the competition Partners. They have funded many attractive prizes, such as: mentoring, project consultations, or legal services.
Additionally, during the gala, we will learn the Audience Award Laureate, the winner of the internet users’ plebiscite. This is a novelty compared to previous editions of the competition.
