Director's Plenipotentiary for IT

He is a specialist in IT strategy and project management. For years, he has held key roles at the Institute of Mother and Child, introducing numerous technological and IT projects. His work focuses on integrating advanced technologies in the healthcare sector, improving IT infrastructure, and implementing advanced security systems.

He is the Director’s Plenipotentiary for IT and Cybersecurity. Additionally, he heads the IT Department and the Implementation Department – the Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Center.

Graduate of studies in computer science as well as management and marketing. He also completed postgraduate studies in: AI and Innovation in Health, Cybersecurity Management, Cybersecurity and Computer Forensics, and Management in Healthcare Entities During Ownership Transformations. He holds an MBA degree.

Nikoletta Buczek

Innovation Manager

Certified Innovation Manager with experience in creating and implementing biomedical innovations. A medical physicist by education, specializing in deep-tech technologies.

Co-founder of startups in the MedTech and dual-use sectors. Author of articles, scientific posters, and podcasts dedicated to modern medical technologies. For several years associated with auditing enterprises and creating reports on their innovativeness.

Laureate of the Forbes Poland ’30 under 30′ ranking and recognized in the ‘Polish Woman of the 21st Century’ plebiscite in the ‘Innovations and new technologies’ category. Scholar of the Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative program organized by the US Department of State, within which she collaborated, among others, with the University of Hawaii at Manoa (Honolulu).

Ewelina Tomaszczyk

Innovation Manager

Project Manager with a passion for economics and innovation, particularly for the processes of creating new technologies and their impact on the world. By education and experience, an expert in corporate finance from the private sector.

Possesses extensive experience in financial analysis of enterprises and business financing. For years, she was associated with the technology market, introducing pioneering services in the financial and consulting industries. Spent the last six years developing startups, focusing on market positioning, identifying target audiences, and product shaping.

Her interests include entrepreneurship and business valuation, and thanks to her passion and experience, she advises companies, helping them with market analysis, developing business financing strategies, and creating innovative products.

Monika Dobrzeniecka

Chief Communication and Marketing Specialist

A word expert who translates innovation into language everyone can understand. A copywriter and social media manager connecting startups, institutions, and technologies with people – effectively and authentically.

She creates PR strategies, promotes competitions, and builds bridges between the world of innovation and public institutions. She supports communication with companies, government offices, and the startup community, always focusing on plain language and good relationships.

She gained experience working at institutions including the Ministry of Digitization and the Institute of National Remembrance. A graduate of History at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University and Public Relations at the Warsaw School of Economics. Today, she operates at the intersection of innovation, communication, and social engagement, believing that even the most advanced technology needs a human voice.

Weronika Kolczyńska

Innovation Specialist

An experienced specialist in communication and health innovation, working at the intersection of medicine, technology, and the public sector.
 
She has collaborated with institutions such as the Medical Research Agency and the e-Health Centre, where she was responsible for communicating initiatives in the areas of MedTech and AI in medicine. Currently, she is expanding her knowledge as a student of the Innovation in Medicine and Healthcare program at the Medical University of Warsaw.
 
She is passionate about technologies that improve healthcare and make it more accessible. In innovation, she values a human-centered approach most — believing that technology should serve people, and the language used to describe it must be clear and empathetic.

Anna Gawrońska, PhD

Innovation Specialist

A passionate advocate for patient safety and GS1 standards. She firmly believes that barcodes save lives. For 20 years, she has supported hospitals and manufacturers in managing the flow of medical products. By collaborating with IT companies, government agencies, and industry associations, she helps implement solutions that enhance patient safety and improve working conditions for nursing staff.

She provides expert advice on the implementation of GS1 barcodes in compliance with legal requirements. In 2022, her work was recognized in the “Polka XXI” competition, where she received an award in the Health category. She is the author of over 90 publications and has participated in more than 60 industry conferences.

PhD Eng. Joanna Aftyka

Data Scientist

At the Implementation Department – Center for Innovation and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute of Mother and Child, she works on the analysis and modeling of medical data as well as the implementation of AI-based solutions in pediatrics and women’s healthcare. She graduated from the Faculty of Physics at the Warsaw University of Technology, where she obtained a PhD in technical sciences and serves as an assistant professor at the Department of Complex Systems Physics.
 
Her scientific work includes publications on heart rate variability (HRV) analysis, stroke prognostics, and interdisciplinary projects combining physics, computer science, and medicine. She combines academic expertise with practical implementation, working at the intersection of science and clinical applications, including the evaluation and recommendation of medical technologies.

Małgorzata Maj

Innovation Manager

Project manager and coordinator of the competition, focuses on effectively managing projects that combine advanced technologies with the medical field in a hospital environment, in collaboration with doctors, scientists, and innovative companies. Simultaneously a doctor during a postgraduate internship, gaining practical experience which allows her a full understanding of the complex aspects of healthcare.

Graduate of medicine from the Medical University of Lublin and law from the University of Warsaw. Gained professional experience in one of the largest law firms in Warsaw specializing in the Life Sciences sector. In her professional practice, she strives to combine legal knowledge and experience with medical knowledge.

Co-author of publications and reports on medical innovations, artificial intelligence, and telemedicine, such as the AI in Health White Paper or the Regulatory Report: How to Use the Potential of Telemedicine in Diabetology.
